Description:

ESP's 2.25-inch OD "Top-Down" Injection Tool is designed to provide precise amendment placement across a targeted treatment interval. The tool is initially advanced to the top of the desired injection zone using 2-1/4-inch Geoprobe® probe rods. An included 2.25-inch x 1.75-inch adapter with a 3/4-inch NPT connection allows for hose-through injection or using the 2.25" Injection Pull Cap or the 2.25" Injection Cap for rod-through injection of remediation amendments, while the screen section is designed to accommodate a 3/4-inch stainless steel or PVC screen to help minimize plugging during advancement.

Following injection at the uppermost interval, the tool can be incrementally advanced deeper and the process repeated until the bottom of the treatment interval is reached. This versatile injection tool can be operated in either a top-down or bottom-up injection sequence, providing flexibility to meet site-specific treatment objectives.

The tool has been successfully used to inject a variety of amendments, including emulsified vegetable oil (EVO), sodium persulfate, potassium permanganate, and other remediation reagents. It can also be easily disassembled for inspection, decontamination, and cleaning, simplifying maintenance and supporting efficient field operations.
